Concordia launches its urban mobility AI pilot with Ualabee, as part of CIIAR 2026

The Municipality of Concordia, in Entre Ríos, presented "Concordia Se Mueve", its urban mobility and artificial intelligence pilot. The pilot is being developed with the tech company Ualabee, with support from RIL, and is part of a municipal policy focused on urban planning and public innovation.

The Mayor of Concordia, Francisco Azcué, highlighted the strategic value of the initiative: "Urban planning is one of the main priorities of our administration. Concordia grew in a disorderly way for many years, and this project is a very powerful tool to give our residents predictability, safety and better use of their time, especially the most underserved groups."

What is being tested

The pilot brings together 4 transport operators, 9 public transport lines and more than 26 routes under the international open data standard GTFS. Line 2 already works with real time tracking, and four more lines are moving forward with their technical integration through GPS access.

Its main features are:

  • Real time tracking: people can check on their phones where the bus is and how long it will take to reach the stop.

  • Unified trip planner: the tool will be integrated into the app the municipality is already developing, bringing information from all operators into one platform.

  • Smart traffic management: through its partnership with Waze, the municipality can monitor road incidents in real time and send official alerts about roadworks and detours.

Public and private collaboration

Hernán Contreras, CIIAR Argentina Coordinator, highlighted the value of connecting the technology offer from startups and SMEs with the demand from local governments to improve people's quality of life.

The Ualabee team valued the joint work between the municipality, local GPS providers and transport companies. Digitalization and predictability improve the travel experience and also operational efficiency, which encourages the use of public transport and supports the sustainability of the service.
