During this stage, the companies will have access to training, mentoring and opportunities to connect with public institutions. The goal is to strengthen their B2G sales strategies and open new innovation opportunities with government, including the design of possible pilots.

The training is part of the work of the Public Services Innovation Program of Uruguay’s National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII). The program aims to improve the public services people use by bringing in new knowledge and technologies through open innovation and other tools.

To do this, it encourages demand for innovation among the public entities that provide services to the population. It also shows innovators the business opportunities that come from developing solutions together with those entities, and it reduces the financial risk of innovation for both service providers and solution providers. These goals are aligned with those of GovTech Connect, which seeks to expand the supply of technology with public value for cities and, in this way, strengthen the region’s GovTech ecosystem.

In this way, ANII is part of the network of Escala GovTech implementing organizations, a very valuable contribution to the project given its relevance and experience in the region.
